Kansas State History

12,000 years ago the first people settled in Kansas. People know this because Archaeologists found the bones of mammoths and other animals.This was a sign that humans had hunted the creatures.Thousand of years later Native American tribes  settled there. For example these tribes were the Kansa ,Osage, Pawnee, Kiowa, and Comanche. Kansas was bought during the Louisiana Purchase. Kansas was the 34th state and it became a state the same year as the Civil war happened.
